Winner of the 2013 Pierre Fournier Award
Chiara Enderle was born into a family of musicians in Zürich, Switzerland, in 1992.
Her principal cello teachers were Thomas Grossenbacher in Zürich, Jens Peter Maintz in Berlin, and Steven Isserlis.
Chiara is the 1st prize winner of both the International Lutoslawski Cello Competition (Warsaw) and the Pierre Fournier Award (London).
She appears regularly as a soloist with renowned orchestras such as the Philharmonia Orchestra (London), the Kammerphilharmonie Potsdam, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zürich and National Philharmonic in Warsaw. Her 2016/17 season includes concertos with the Musikkollegium Winterthur and the Tonhalle Orchestra, Haydn’s C major concerto in France and Germany, recitals and chamber music concerts in England, Scotland and Poland, as well as a recital at Lucerne Festival in summer 2017.
Chiara’s debut CD was released in January 2016, featuring Paul Wranitzky’s cello concerto with the Munich Chamber Orchestra for Sony.
Chiara is the artistic director of the concert series “Musik im Morgental” in Zürich, which involves chamber music as well as community outreach.
